Bean Work/Play Cafe' is a new concept that combines drop-in daycare for its members with on-site workspace for parents.  Located at East Decatur Station, which recently installed a 150 kilowatt solar array to serve tenants, Bean is close to Decatur and Avondale.  The project itself involved fitting out an existing 3200 sf warehouse.  Improvements included a new white roof and added insulation for better thermal performance, new HVAC, new storefront openings for natural daylighting, and fluorescent fixtures for low energy use.
